Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic HSE Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving our commitment to Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, ensuring the implementation of best practices and compliance with industry regulations and international ISO standards. Your knowledge and leadership will ensure our organisation exceeds statutory requirements and fosters a culture of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to meet OHS and Environmental legal and industry standards.
- To develop, implement, maintain, and monitor the related management systems across the company.
- To promote a culture of ‘Quality, Safety and Environment first” across the company.
- Promote regular audits and inspections, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with workplace safety protocols and regulations.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive documentation, records, and reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold and enhance quality and safety practices related to OHS and Environment.
- To develop a highly performing team. Provides technical support, mentorship and coaching to all team members.
- Provide technical support to management and other interested parties regarding the management system's expectations and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct thorough investigations of incidents and accidents, utilising adequate methodologies to identify root causes and preventive measures.
- Ensure risk assessments are conducted, proposing mitigation strategies that prioritise health and safety concerns.
- Ensure the establishment, monitoring and adequate implementation of Emergency Management Plans in all properties.
- Define, propose, and analyse performance metrics and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Foster continuous practice improvement, adapting strategies to new challenges and requirements.
- Set the annual budget and operating plan and ensure compliance with it.
- Promote stakeholder relations at all times, including those of internal and external relevance.
Qualifications and Experience in HSE
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing OHS and Environment.
- In-depth knowledge of management systems, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Excellent analytical abilities, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively delivering HSE training and guidelines.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to manage teams and drive organisational adherence to standards.
- Leadership experience in Hospitality, Oil & Gas, Construction and VVIP client services will be a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
