Key Responsibilities:
Culinary Leadership and Kitchen Management:
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and develop menus that meet high standards of excellence and creativity.
- Supervise kitchen staff to maintain smooth operations and ensure quality and consistency in food preparation.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in managing kitchen inventory, ensuring fresh ingredients and minimizing food wastage.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and industry standards.
Staff Development and Collaboration:
- Train and mentor kitchen team members, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
- Assist in staff scheduling, ensuring optimal coverage during peak times.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to develop new recipes and innovate culinary presentations.
- Foster open communication with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Recognised culinary qualification or relevant experience in a similar role.
- Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and management skills with an emphasis on team collaboration.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail in food presentation.
- Flexible working hours to meet the demands of the business, including evenings and weekends.
