We are seeking an experienced IT Buyer to join our team and take ownership of sourcing and procuring IT hardware, software, and services. This role requires a proactive professional with strong vendor management, negotiation, and analytical skills, along with a deep understanding of the UAE market and IT procurement practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing & Procurement: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to meet business requirements for IT hardware, software, and services.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with IT vendors, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and service standards.
- Cost Optimization: Monitor pricing trends and market developments to ensure cost-effective procurement while upholding quality and compliance.
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts, ensuring favorable terms and risk mitigation.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, supplier capabilities, and emerging technologies to enhance procurement strategies.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to internal policies, legal requirements, and cybersecurity standards throughout procurement processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with IT, finance, and legal teams to streamline purchasing processes and align procurement with organizational goals.
- Order Processing: Handle purchase requests, generate purchase orders, and monitor delivery timelines.
- Inventory & Asset Management: Coordinate with IT teams to manage stock levels and oversee the full lifecycle of IT assets.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, IT, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in IT procurement, preferably within the UAE.
- Solid knowledge of IT products, licensing models, and procurement best practices.
- Proven negotiation and vendor management expertise.
- Understanding of UAE procurement laws and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement tools.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Professional procurement certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is an advantage.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP.
- Familiarity with SaaS licensing and enterprise IT contract structures.
