Job Summary
The household is seeking a reliable, experienced full-time waitress to provide professional, warm and discreet food and beverage service for a private family based in Abu Dhabi. The role includes table service, setting and maintaining dining areas, coordinating with household schedules and supporting hospitality for family members and guests. Applicants must be citizens of Bhutan or Indonesia. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent service skills, attention to detail, cultural sensitivity and a commitment to confidentiality and professional conduct.

Key Responsibilities

Service & Guest Care
• Greet family members and guests courteously and provide attentive, unobtrusive table service for meals, snacks and beverages.
• Present menus or meal plans, explain dishes when requested and follow any dietary instructions or cultural preferences.
• Serve food and drinks promptly, clear plates and tableware between courses and ensure an orderly, pleasant dining experience.
• Assist with special requests (e.g., children’s needs, elderly care, guest preferences) while maintaining discretion and respect for privacy.

Dining Room & Table Preparation
• Prepare dining tables according to household standards, including table settings, glassware, cutlery and appropriate linens.
• Ensure dining areas are clean, tidy and presented to a high standard before and after service.
• Arrange buffet or informal service when required and assist with setting up for small events or family gatherings.

Kitchen Coordination & Food Handling
• Liaise with household cook/chef to understand menus, portioning and timing; communicate any guest or family dietary needs.
• Assist with plating and final presentation as directed by the chef.
• Follow safe food handling, storage and hygiene practices at all times and maintain cleanliness of service equipment and trolley items.

Scheduling & Flexibility
• Work closely with the household’s main point of contact to coordinate meal times and service requirements.
• Be prepared to work flexible hours, including occasional early starts, evenings or weekends, to meet household needs and special events.

Household Support & Errands
• Run light errands related to dining and hospitality, such as collecting fresh produce, setting up supplies and assisting with basic grocery tasks as directed.
• Support other household staff when required, maintaining clear communication and teamwork.

Professional Standards & Confidentiality
• Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion regarding the family’s personal information and daily routines.
• Demonstrate punctuality, reliability and a calm, courteous demeanour under pressure.
• Adhere to household policies, health and safety procedures and any cultural or etiquette protocols in place.

Key Skills & Qualifications

Essential
• Minimum 2 years’ professional experience in hospitality, restaurant or private household service.
• Good command of English (spoken and written); additional languages advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of table service techniques, table setting standards and basic beverage service.
• Understanding of food hygiene and safe handling practices.
• Right to work in the UAE and ability to pass relevant background checks.
• Applicants must be citizens of Bhutan or Indonesia.

Desirable
• Prior experience working within private households or providing in-home service for families.
• Knowledge of formal dining etiquette and experience supporting small private events.
• Basic first aid or hospitality training.

Other
• Willingness to work flexibly to the scheduling requirements of a private household.
• Professional presentation and adherence to household uniform or dress code when required.
