We are looking for a motivated Commis I
Key responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and assist with mise en place for hot kitchen stations
Cook menu items to specification, following recipes, portion controls and plating standards.
Support the team during service by running dishes, expediting and maintaining communication with other kitchen staff.
Keep workstations clean, organised and stocked; follow cleaning schedules and food safety procedures.
Receive, inspect and store deliveries; rotate stock using FIFO principles and label items appropriately.
Follow allergen, dietary and guest preferences as instructed by the Head Chef
Assist with basic prep for events and special occasions within the household when required.
Candidate requirements
Previous experience in a hot kitchen or professional catering environment, ideally in private proeprty or high-end hospitality.
Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment and food safety standards (including HACCP or equivalent).
Good attention to detail, consistency and a willingness to learn and take direction.
Ability to work calmly under pressure, manage time effectively and adapt to changing service demands.
Reliable, punctual and professional with a respectful, team-focused attitude.
Right to work checks and satisfactory references will be required prior to appointment.
