Key Responsibilities
Clean, service, and prepare guest rooms, suites, bathrooms, corridors, public areas, staff areas, and other assigned facilities in accordance with company standards.
Make beds, change linen, replace towels, dust and polish furniture, vacuum and mop floors, clean windows, and complete other housekeeping duties as required.
Replenish guest amenities, toiletries, minibar items, stationery, towels, cleaning materials, and other required supplies.
Inspect assigned rooms and areas to ensure cleanliness, order, presentation, hygiene, and readiness for guest occupancy.
Follow room cleaning schedules, daily task assignments, service timings, and instructions provided by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Direct Manager.
Handle guest belongings, personal items, and confidential information with care, discretion, and respect.
Report lost property promptly in accordance with company procedures and maintain accurate records where required.
Report maintenance defects, damage, safety hazards, missing items, unusual occurrences, and guest concerns to the appropriate supervisor without delay.
Use cleaning chemicals, equipment, linen, and other housekeeping supplies safely and efficiently, following product instructions and workplace procedures.
Maintain housekeeping trolleys, cupboards, storage rooms, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organised, and fully stocked condition.
Collect, sort, handle, and deliver soiled and clean linen in accordance with established hygiene and laundry procedures.
Respond courteously and promptly to reasonable guest requests and refer complaints or service issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Direct Manager.
Comply with health and safety, infection prevention, manual handling, fire safety, chemical handling, and environmental procedures.
Support deep-cleaning activities, special events, room inspections, seasonal cleaning, and other operational requirements as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Direct Manager.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Housekeeping Attendant, Room Attendant, Cleaner, Domestic Worker, Hotel Attendant, or in a similar hospitality or cleaning role is preferred.
Experience in hotel, serviced apartment, residential, healthcare, catering, or commercial cleaning operations is an advantage.
Knowledge of guest room cleaning, bathroom sanitation, linen handling, cleaning chemicals, housekeeping equipment, and hygiene standards.
Ability to communicate effectively in English and Myanmar or Filipino to support communication with guests, colleagues, and supervisors.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness, presentation, hygiene, and service quality.
Good communication, customer service, teamwork, organisational, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and complete assigned tasks within required service times.
Physically able to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, push, and handle housekeeping equipment and supplies for extended periods.
Professional, respectful, trustworthy, discreet, and well presented at all times.
Ability to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and extended hours when required by business operations.
Basic health and safety, manual handling, or cleaning certification is preferred.
